Shima Onsen Travel Guide › Forums › Shima Onsen Forum › Place for relaxation!
We wanted to experience what I call “Japanese Hot Tubbing”. After the frenetic intensity of Tokyo, we needed to be low key for a few days. Kashiwaya Ryokan offered a place where we could relax and disconnect. The property was perfect for us! It had everything we needed plus the staff was so welcoming and helpful. Language was not a problem. Food was delicious and filling. Shima as a town is small but I found manageable. Some Onsens are huge towns, more city like. Shima is just the right size for walks and exploration. I would go Shima again, when I return to Japan
Thank you for the heartwarming message, John san!
We hope to see you again in near future.
