I stayed at Kashiwaya Ryokan during my first visit to Japan, and it is because of this place that it certainly will not be my last. We arrived a little earlier than check-in but were warmly welcomed and were offered to have our luggage stowed while we explored. The whole Shima Onsen area is so picturesque and quiet – the perfect escape from the big city. Everything offered in the ryokan was perfect: the food, rooms, beds, baths, *Wi-Fi*, and especially the staff. They were so accommodating from the moment we were greeted – even going so far as to pump the tires on the bikes that they also graciously let us use to ride up the hill to a restaurant recommended for dinner. Biking around the quiet streets of Shima Onsen at night in a yukata will always be one of my favorite memories. This place is a must-go for anyone looking for an authentic yet unique Onsen experience. There isn’t enough time in the world for me to describe just how much I enjoyed this place and how anxious and excited I am to go back.
      100000/10 stars.

      Dear Jillien san.
Thank you for taking the time to leave this review with us!

Shima Onsen is very quiet Onsen resort.
So I believe here is the Perfect spot for the last night of the Japan trip.

We will do our best to keep Shima Onsen and Kashiwaya Ryokan the best place for you!

      Thank you.
