We visited in the middle of Winter, having travelled by train and local bus. Everything was snow-covered and very beautiful, almost magical (but a bit slippery too – snow boots). We had the experience you can only dream about of being in the warm pool, looking up at the trees heavy with snow.The food was delicious and the service was warm and friendly. I would highly recommend Kashiwaya Ryokan if you are looking for an authentic Japanese experience.
