We had a great time at Shima Onsen Kashiwaya Ryokan! We were looking for a special place with private outdoor onsen and the real ryokan experience! The people were extremely nice, the room and food perfect, and of course, we enjoyed the 3 private onsens several times during our one-night stay! I strongly recommend the place! The village itself is also charming with nice shops and restaurants (don’t miss the “Unagi”!!), beautiful nature and temples.
Don’t hesitate! It’s worth it!!
