This time, I had the pleasure of guiding a group of six guests — something I hadn’t done in a while!
The group was made up of three pairs, each with two guests from Canada and the United States.
The guests from Canada, who had visited some lively tourist spots before coming to Shima Onsen, especially appreciated the town’s peaceful atmosphere, slow pace, and sense of tranquility.
We enjoyed unique hot spring experiences, such as tasting the spring water and feeling the heat of the hot springs through the manhole covers where the water flows underneath.
Everyone also had a great time exploring the nostalgic streets of the old hot spring town.
At the former Dai-san Elementary School, we even had a lively Japanese language lesson together!
I truly had a wonderful time walking with all of you.
