On a beautiful, sunny morning during Golden Week—the busiest time of year in Shima Onsen—I enjoyed a walk through the hot spring town with five wonderful guests.
Two of them were visitors from Australia, and the other three were members of a team that has recently started offering ninja experiences in a neighboring town.
One of them even came dressed as a ninja, which delighted our guests from Australia!
In a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, we enjoyed exploring Shima Onsen’s hot spring culture, history, local sweets, and beautiful nature.
