This March, we’ve had more snow than usual, and patches of it still remain here and there.
In the middle of the month, I had the pleasure of guiding a father and son visiting from North Carolina, USA.
As we strolled slowly through the town, they enjoyed learning about onsen culture—such as public bathhouses and drinkable hot spring water—as well as the historical buildings that give this area its rich character.
The father took many photos with the camera he brought, capturing the town’s unique charm.
I look forward to the day we can walk together again through the quiet, nostalgic streets of Shima Onsen.
I had a great time.
Thank you very much.
