I had the pleasure of walking all around Shima Onsen with a couple visiting Japan for the very first time – in fact, it was their first trip to Asia!
We were truly honored that they chose our little town of Shima Onsen for such a special journey.
One of the reasons they picked Shima was to visit the iconic Sekizenkan, where we took some lovely photos in front of the historic building.
They also enjoyed a relaxing moment with hot spring manju and green tea on tatami mats, and learned how to properly pray at a local shrine.
It was such a fun and meaningful time together.
I’m so happy to hear they’ve become fans of Shima Onsen!
I truly hope to see them again in the near future.
